Frequently Asked Questions
Why use Epoxy?
It’s unique, customizable, and durable. No two floors will ever be the same. It is also waterproof and heat and cold resistant. It can be a more affordable alternative to other high-end flooring covers and good for both residential and commercial areas. Also, epoxy flooring is great for the environment. It will never end up in landfills because it never needs to be removed as other flooring can be laid on top of it, or it can be grind down. The installation systems are completely dustless and incorporate HEPA filters to keep particles out of the air.

Is Epoxy flooring slippery?

Various coatings can be added to create texture and non-slip surfaces. Polyurea coatings are also made to be non-slip.
How do I clean and care for my Epoxy?
You can use cold water and a mop, a Swiffer sweeper, and vacuum to prolong the life of your system.
Does the installation smell badly? Is the product toxic to breathe?
Epoxy and the various coatings do have a smell, but are low in VOCs (harmful chemicals). We try to maintain a well-ventilated work area as the fumes can be irritating to the respiratory system. The smells dissipates as the coatings set and should be gone within 24 hours of completing the job. Also, the installation is completely dustless and uses HEPA filters to keep your air clean.

Is Polyurea/Polyaspartic coating the same as Epoxy?

No, it is better than Epoxy, like an upgraded, new and improved product.

Why should we choose a Polyurea or Polyaspartic coating over Epoxy?
Polyurea/polyaspartic flooring is more flexible and durable than epoxy. It has a high gloss, smooth finish and cures fairly quickly. It can be applied in low temperatures, which is important for the area we are located. It works well when applied over concrete, which tends to expand and contract with temperature changes, as it moves with the concrete. It is also resistant to salt, water, and oil, as well as stain resistant.
How long does Epoxy last?
Epoxy can virtually last forever with proper cleaning and care. An added bonus, is epoxy flooring can be re-coated later on if necessary.

Will gas/oil stain my flooring?

No. The custom coatings protect from staining, water damage, chemicals, salt, cracking and pitting in the finish. Polyaspartic/Polyurea Base and Top Coats are 100% waterproof, impact resistant, chemical shielded, and anti-slip.
